End of Season Reminder

We’re in our last two weeks of the summer season. Our schedule neatly conforms to the boundaries of August and September.

Tuesday / Thursday swims at noon are outside at Sunset Pool through August 28. We move inside to the Rec Center starting Tuesday, September 2 — the day after Labor Day. (That assumes that all repair work at the Rec Center is completed on schedule. I am unaware of a Plan B.)

Saturday morning swims remain at Sunset Pool at 8 am through August 30 (Labor Day weekend). We move inside to Centennial starting Saturday, September 6. When we move inside, the time changes BACK TO 7 AM. The fall Longmont recreation brochure says 8 am for Saturdays — that is incorrect.

Monday / Wednesday / Friday swims at 6 am remain at Centennial Pool until next spring.

[Special message to Jen M. — I told you there was no Saturday swim Labor Day weekend. I was wrong!]

Two Programs for Novice Swimmers

If you (or someone you know) are intimidated by joining one of our regularly scheduled workouts; are looking to learn efficient technique; or want to build up more endurance first, try out our two new offerings this fall!

The goal of these classes are building the technique (Beginning class) and then building the endurance (Intermediate class) to transition into regular masters workouts.

Both of these programs run once a week, in 7 week sessions and require pre-registration with the city of Longmont and a specific fee.

There are limited spaces available for each session so get that registration in!

Beginning Masters

These 7 week programs are designed to teach and improve your technique. They require registration through the City of Longmont and have a specific fee. Classes are Tuesday from 5:00-6:00 PM at Centennial Pool.

Fall Session Dates:
September 9 to October 21, 2025
October 28 to December 16, 2025 (no class 11/25)

Register for activity 421813 on the Longmont Recreation Website.

Intermediate Masters

These 7 week programs are designed to continue to reinforce swimming technique while building the endurance to transition up to regular masters workouts. Classes are Thursdays from 5:00-6:00 PM at Centennial Pool.

Fall Session Dates:
September 11 to October 23, 2025
October 30 to December 18, 2025 (no class 11/27)

Register for activity 421814 on the Longmont Recreation Website.
