Another opportunity for fun swimming events this summer is the Grown Up Swimming of the Rockies Summer League.
The goal of summer league is to recapture the joy of being outdoors, fun racing, and team socializing as adults. Individual events are 25s and 50s and a 100 IM. Short, fast and fun!
Relays are 100 Free, 200 Free and also include a multi-gen relay where you can bring the kiddos to do a relay with you! There is also usually a Fun relay – think a little bit silly.
There are four meets and then the “Championship of the World” to cap off the summer season. Meets happen on Friday nights in Boulder and include a bunch of teams from the area. These take about 2 hours including warm up time. There is a social dinner out following each of the meets.

The first event is June 12th!

Memorial Day weekend, that is.
This is your reminder that there is NO MASTERS SWIM during the Memorial Day weekend (Saturday, May 23 and Monday, May 25).
Noontime swim moves outdoors starting Tuesday, May 26.
Saturday morning swim moves outdoors starting Saturday, May 30. The start time switches to 8:00 am.
Weekday morning swim moves outdoors starting Monday, June 1. The start time remains 6:00 am.
It’s still off in the future, but it’s coming: SUMMER. That means we’ll be switching over from indoors to outdoors soon. As in previous years, the switchover runs over two weeks, with noon-time and Saturday swims switching over the first week, and 6:00 am swims switching over the second week.
As in previous years, there is NO MASTERS SWIM on the Saturday or Monday of Memorial Day weekend.
Here’s the summary:

A few additional meets have been added to the calendar and the COMSA Championship meet info has been posted!
See COMSA.org for all of the details & registration links.
We had a group of 7 show up for the January Polansky Sweetheart Meet! One missing from our group picture, but we had a lot of good swims and got to do some “fun” relays like the 6×25 fly and then a toy traverse.
Relays are the best part so we hope you’ll join us for a future meet and help us have more relay teams!

We also have a LOCO swag store open! Check out https://www.bonfire.com/longmont-masters-flag/ if you want to get a team shirt! There are unisex t-shirts, tank tops and a hoody option. Small proceeds will go to support the Longmont Humane Society.
