I am curious about this log-rolling business, but still haven’t tried it. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
The city has heard back from the insurance company and has an estimate for required repairs ($400k!). Repair work could start next week and complete by the end of January. If the story in the Times-Call is behind a pay wall, you can read an update from the city here.

We’ve had three morning sessions at LRC now. Monday morning we had three lanes: one gold/silver (4 swimmers), one silver/bronze (4 swimmers), and one iron (2 swimmers). I’m working to design sets that accommodate different speeds, so everyone can find a spot that works for them. If you haven’t come to swim at LRC yet, come give it a try.

Today was our first Saturday at the Longmont Rec Center. We only had 3 lanes, but only 6 swimmers, so it was fine.
On the plane ride home last night, I planned out a set (“pacers & chasers“) that allows gold/silver, silver/bronze, or bronze/iron to swim in the same lane. I’m not sure how well the set works. I know it looks more complicated than it really is. I’ll keep working on sets that will keep us moving in the space we get.
Keep in mind that the Rec Center does not open its doors until 7 am, so if you plan to swim on a Saturday, don’t bother coming early.
