Sunset Pool isn’t going to open up until 1 pm on Friday, September 11. So go ahead and take off another morning.
This is the last morning that will be too cold to open. We should have smooth sailing for the next week.

It should come as no surprise that we’re not going to swim at Sunset Pool Wednesday morning. That’s the bad news. The good news is that — as of right now — Sunset is not being closed for the season. Shut off the alarm clock for Wednesday, keep your fingers crossed, and see you on Friday.
Here are a few summer pool pics.

Although the weather has been toasty the last few days, we’re in for a change. There’s a very good chance there will be no masters swimming on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. When I asked Saturday, the plan was to make the call on Monday, Sept 7 on whether the pool will get shut down completely or just shut down for a couple days.
A reminder (in case you haven’t tried to sign up to swim on Labor Day yet), there is no masters swim on Labor Day.
Stay tuned for updates as they become available. And cover your tomatoes.
While I was away last week there was a hiccup with guidance coming from Boulder County Public Health . Supposedly all swimming would be limited to one person per lane, effectively ending Masters as a program. Yet just as quickly as the policy was handed down, it was reversed. Whatever the cause for the new policy or for that policy to be rescinded, it’s all good. Masters is back on.
We are currently scheduled to stay outside swimming at Sunset through Saturday, September 19. As with anything else these days, this schedule is subject to change, but for now it should be smooth sailing.
